2021 – Health Advocacy: ecoBrown’s launched Miles with ecoBrown’s, encouraging Malaysians to raise awareness of diabetes and healthier lifestyles.   2023 – Malaysia Book of Records Achievement: JATI celebrated its 30th anniversary by setting a Malaysia Book of Records achievement with a 3-tonne rice sack, which was later donated to charitable homes.   2024 – Rice-Based Snack Innovation: ecoBrown’s introduced Brice, a wholegrain rice snack created for modern consumers.   2026 – Local Rice Innovation: JATI introduced Chom Chom, a rice-based snack developed from locally sourced rice.

2005 – Health-Focused Brand Expansion: ecoBrown’s was launched, introducing healthier brown rice options to consumers.   2006 – Brand Visibility Recognition: The company received Brand Equity’s Top 10 Most Visible Brand Award.   2016 – Digital Business Expansion: SW Food began expanding into online business and explored various digital platforms.   2019 – JATI Signature Launch: JATI Signature was launched in conjunction with JATI’s 25th anniversary

2001 - Quality Management Recognition: Serba Wangi became the first rice wholesaler in Malaysia to receive ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System certification.   2003 - Clean Energy Innovation: The company invested in rice husk-fired COGEN technology and received ASEAN Clean Energy recognition.   2008 - HACCP Certification: Serba Wangi obtained HACCP certification to strengthen food safety standards and control food safety hazards.

1993 – Establishment of Serba Wangi: Serba Wangi Sdn. Bhd. was established and grew into a leading rice distributor and wholesaler in Malaysia.   1995 – Brand & Distribution Expansion: The company introduced its early rice brands and expanded its distribution network, beginning with its Penang branch.   1999 – Strategic Industry Partnership: Serba Wangi entered into a joint venture with Padiberas Nasional Berhad, strengthening its role in Malaysia’s rice industry.

1952 - Our Beginning: Ban Heng Bee Rice Mill, the parent company of Serba Wangi, began its rice business at Seberang Perak, Alor Setar, Kedah.   1978 - Moving Closer to Production: The rice mill moved to Bukit Raya, Pendang, Kedah, strengthening its production base.
