ecoBrown’s Urban Walk 2025 Unites Over 3,500 Malaysians for Health and Community
More than 3,500 participants gathered as early as 6am at Sunway Pyramid for the successful Miles with ecoBrown’s Urban Walk 2025, reflecting the growing public interest in healthy living and community-driven activities.
Organised by ecoBrown’s, the annual walkathon has become a meaningful platform that encourages Malaysians to embrace healthier lifestyles while spending quality time with family and friends. The event first began during the Covid-19 pandemic as an initiative to inspire people to remain active despite movement restrictions and health challenges.
According to Chua Keng Jin, this year marks the fifth edition of the programme and the third time it has been organised physically as a large-scale annual event.
“The increasing participation each year shows how much people value programmes that promote health, positivity, and togetherness,” he shared during the flag-off ceremony for Miles with ecoBrown’s Urban Walk 2025.
Chua explained that the programme is not only organised to appreciate consumers, but also serves as a continuous effort to promote healthier lifestyles and meaningful moments with loved ones.
“In the middle of our busy lives, we are constantly rushing from one thing to another. Miles with ecoBrown’s Urban Walk reminds us to slow down, take a break, and appreciate the little moments in life,” he said.
Participants also shared positive feedback about the event and its welcoming atmosphere. Many described the walkathon as a refreshing experience that encouraged both physical activity and mental wellness.
One participant, Sarah Amin, 34, described the programme as an opportunity to “refresh the mind”, while another participant, Chan Mei Ling, 63, praised the organisers for creating a safe and inclusive route suitable for all age groups.
University student Amirul Hakim, 21, who joined the event for the first time, said the experience encouraged him to appreciate the importance of staying active and spending time outdoors.
“Usually, I spend my weekends at home, but programmes like this remind me how important it is to go outside, exercise, and appreciate the environment around us. I will definitely join again,” he shared.
Throughout the event, participants enjoyed the lively atmosphere, entertainment performances, and community spirit that filled the venue from start to finish. The organisers also expressed appreciation to Sunway Group, retail partners, production teams, crew members, artists, and volunteers for their strong support in ensuring the programme’s success.
Special thanks were also extended to the Royal Malaysia Police and Jabatan Sukarelawan Malaysia (RELA) for helping maintain safety and smooth event operations throughout the morning.
As the event came to an end, participants gathered at the finishing area where cheers, applause, and performances created an energetic closing celebration. Many expressed hopes that Miles with ecoBrown’s Urban Walk would continue every year as a meaningful initiative that not only promotes health and wellness, but also strengthens community connections and reminds people that every step in life carries its own meaning.
